Well, it's a bit late to say happy new year. So much for the 'regular updates' resolution too. Work and kids keeping me busier that I'd like, not much time to use the camera. Still, the desire to take good pictures is still there somewhere ... This little Robin must have been quite young and inexperienced as it made no effort to fly away from me. I got a couple of useable snaps with my wideangle lens, and he even let me change to my 100mm macro lens without so much as a ruffled feather. Why can't all birds be such good subjects?

I really like how close up and detailed this image is. Really quite something! The feathers look so downy.

Excellent detail! You're right about most birds not sitting still for the camera, it's nice when a cooperative one stops by.
